Adding receipts and vouchers to your bookkeeping

Last updated 17 days ago

The Accounting Act requires that every bookkeeping entry has a voucher. In NoCFO you can add vouchers in several ways — pick whichever suits you best.

Photographing receipts with your phone

The fastest way to add a receipt to your bookkeeping is to photograph it directly with the NoCFO mobile app. The app automatically matches the receipt to the right bank transaction when a bank connection is in use.

E-invoicing — sales and purchase invoices straight into the service

Once e-invoicing is activated, both the sales invoices you send and the purchase invoices you receive appear automatically in NoCFO. Purchase invoices show up in the Invoices section as soon as they arrive, so you can pay them and record them in your bookkeeping directly from the app without adding them manually.

Activating e-invoicing is a one-time step — after that, invoices flow through automatically.

Sending vouchers by email

Every folder in Files has its own unique email address. By sending an email attachment to this address, the voucher appears directly in the right folder in NoCFO — without any manual uploading.

This is a handy way to handle, for example, invoices that arrive by email but not as e-invoices. Send or forward the email with its attachment straight to the folder's address from Gmail, Outlook, or any other email client.

Tip: Save the folder's email address once as a contact in your email client, for example under the name "NoCFO purchase invoices". After that, sending a voucher is as simple as typing the contact's name.
